The Right to Eat Healthy Food (and to know from where that food came)

This article is among those that really gets my blood boiling:

http://hartkeisonline.com/2010/10/11/family-farm-ordered-to-destroy-50000-pounds-of-cheese/

Where would you rather your milk and beef came from?

A family farm like Morningland Dairy?

Or a CAFO?

But then again, this is a country where we believe genetically modifying a pig to produce poop low in phosphorus is better than simply feeding a pig what it was meant to eat, so maybe I'm in the minority here. As a rule, I don't think selective breeding or GM (which are not the same thing) are intrinsically bad. However, going through the trouble of genetically modifying animals simply so we can further exploit them is, in my humble opinion, unethical and cruel. We need more farms like Polyface Farms, and we need them badly.

And for a real eye-opener, I suggest watching Food, Inc. You can watch it instantly on Netflix.
